Most of the time it’s very pleasing to add motion to an image. If you have the subject or a prop in motion, then you will add another dynamic to your image.

It’s not always possible, but if you can capture wind it will add a sense of atmosphere. In studios, some photographers will use hair dryers or fans to mimic the breathing of nature (my middle name is Leaf, so I’m allowed to talk like a hippie).
