What type of paper is used to print?
Fujicolor Crystal Archive photographic paper from Fuji. Fuji Crystal Archive is a resin-based paper that is noted for its unmatched archival quality. It has long been considered the finest color photographic paper available and is the choice of professional photographers and commercial labs.
Recent independent studies by Wilhelm Imaging Research (an organization respected for its testing of materials) show that Crystal Archive is the most fade-resistant photographic paper of all that are currently made, outlasting other major brands by almost a three-to-one margin. These independent studies showed that under normal display conditions, Fuji Crystal Archive lasts six or seven decades before any noticeable fade; the nearest competing paper was estimated to only last 15 to 20 years before fading.

What should I wear?
There are certain clothes that photograph better than others. Solid colors including red, black, white, purple, blue, brown, or grey would work best. Anything with texture as well, like faux fur, silk, lace, ruffles, etc. Try to stay away from patterns including aloha shirts which will make the photo too busy and take attention away from you. Also, try to stay away from very trendy clothes, or clothes with logos. These will make your pictures dated and maybe not as appealing to you in 5 years. It’s best to make photos as timeless as possible, this way it will look the same in 50 years and no one will point out your bell bottom jeans, or Ed Hardy T-shirt.
How do I pay?
Cash or Paypal are acceptable forms of payment. An invoice of payment can be requested for paypal payments. There is a requested deposit of 25% due in order to reserve your date.
How long does it take to edit and ship?
Editing will depend on the amount of editing that is requested or required. Usually within 48hrs your proofs will be available online for viewing. Shipping the prints will take 7 business days after editing. Of course, if you need the photos before this time, a rush fee is available. Please communicate your needs and they will be met accordingly.
Do you edit every picture?
Yes, I do not release any unedited photos. Any extreme retouching is available for $1 per minute, with a minimum of 10min. I do not give dvd’s of all of the pictures at the end of the session. Part of my vision is completed during post processing, which helps your photos stand out from the rest.
Is there a discount if I order my package early?
Yes, if your order is made within 5 days of receiving the proofs, then you will save significantly. Please view the price list here…
Is there a military discount?
Yes, all military will be honored with the proper ID at a 15% discount (cannot be combined with other discounts). Thank you for serving our country!
Do you allow wardrobe changes?
Yes, you have an hour to change as many times as you need. Though local bathrooms may not be available for privacy.
What if I show up 15 minutes late?
Please be prompt for your photo session. If you are scheduled at 3pm and are scheduled for a one hour session, then your session will end at 4pm. If you are 15 minutes late we will have less to capture your photos. This is an important day for you, so please plan ahead for traffic, kids, wardrobe, etc.
Do you provide hair or makeup?
Usually makeup and hair is photographed best when it is naturally applied, or styled. Makeup and hair can be requested, yet fees do apply. Please communicate your needs and they will be met accordingly.
Do you do video?
At the moment video recording is limited to certain requests, though experience is present with editing and artistic ability. Please communicate your needs and they will be considered for production.
Are we allowed to bring props?
Yes, please bring anything that you would like to represent your personality. Yet remember that it will distract from you, and may not represent your personality 5 years from now. Think of it like a Hello Kitty tattoo you got when you were 16; it may not represent you later on in life.
When can I see the pictures?
Usually your proofs will be edited and available online within 48hrs. It depends on the amount of pictures and the type of photo session involved.
Where is your studio located?
All photo sessions are done on location. This is beautiful Hawaii, so let’s not be crammed up in a stuffy studio.
Can we meet beforehand so I can view your portfolio and print samples?
Why certainly, a FREE consultation can be requested where you can see samples of prints and view my portfolio. The typical meeting place will be a convenient coffee shop located in Kapolei. This is the city I live in, so it would be appropriate for me to base my FREE consultations here in order to have several per day. If you are unable to meet in Kapolei due to transportation, please let me know and we will come up with another solution.
What location can we choose?
Any location on the island is of Oahu is available. I have a list of great location suggestions, and I am open to be introduced to new ones.
What if it rains the day of our session?
A new photo session can be arranged without hesitation. Any cancelations other than that would require a 24hr notice in order to retain your reservation fee.
Will I lose my reservation fee if I cancel the photo session?
Things happen that are out of our control sometimes. As long as the photo session is cancelled before 24hrs of the scheduled time slot then you can reschedule accordingly.
Can I view the proofs from home?
Yes, for any reason you may view the proofs from your home. Please allow 48hrs to process and upload.
What if I’m completely disappointed with the pictures?
I will address your concerns and if no happy endings can be worked out I will give you a complete refund. Yep, I am confident in my product and I offer a 100% money back guarantee!
