Jim Carrey: Inspiration from a Goofball

Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber.

Today we have some great inspiration from an outstanding comedian. A goofball at heart. Jim Carrey has been a favorite of mine since his “Fire Marshall Bill” days on In Living Color. When I ran across his speech I figured it would be great to share with other artists.

Jim Carrey as Fire Marshall Bill on In Living Color.

“You can fail at what you don’t want, so you may as well take a chance and do what you love.”

This quote is perfect and it’s something that every artist should live by. We need your art in this world, so stop putting it aside because you are scared to take less hours at work, or because you don’t think it’s good enough. Take a chance, ignore the haters, continue to learn, and stick with it (see Day 136).
