Welcome back everyone! I’m excited to be analyzing this Peter Paul Rubens painting, Massacre of the Innocents. Ever since I watched this video (see Day 158), I’ve been intrigued by the story. It’s such a violent and dramatic piece. I can’t imagine what people thought of this painting back in the day. It must’ve given some of them nightmares! Let’s get into it and see how this master designed his creation.
