Today we take a look at Tiziano Vecellio, or better known as Titian. This painting of Bacchus and Ariadne was originally meant for Raphael to complete, but after his death, Titian took it over. There are a couple of different stories, one describing Bacchus leaping off of his chariot to save Ariadne from the parade of beasts. There is also an interesting description in the following video.
